Imagine...

Imagining so many things these days... no wonder I can't remember day to day stuff, appointments, dates, grocery lists. The possibilities going around in my head are so much more interesting, if only I could get more of it on canvas... paper, even! Will make some notes here in hopes that it will ground some of the images showing promise in thought.

Imagine digital prints of b/w tree photos printed on transparent paper interspersed into a landscape painting (bouncing off the bokusho paintings maybe?) I've tried a couple and the possibilities are expanding... even as I speak...

Imagine landscapes in motion... as they appear as we travel. More of a blur than the segments I painted here. Not unlike Gerhard Richter's landscape here. An incredibly versatile artist, see more here. But of course, I'm not Gerhard Richter and will have to find my own way, blurred or not.

Beyond imagining... since so many of my landscape photos feature the highway front and center, they are also showing up in the compositions... that's okay, at least they are directional...

all you have to say is bokusho and my ears perk up. to me, that is your best work, it has power to it. at least it reflect that back to me. hope to see some again :)

Thanks for that... it's an "I dont' know" kind of series... not getting really positive feedback from the galleries though I'm satisfied with sales. Maybe the series will resurface... maybe in a different mode. I just need a break from it to regroup.
