The New Me...

So there I was... once again going through the tiresome ritual of trying to update my website... still working off two computers due to stubborn refusal to update my brain and make the complete switch to the new iMac... it will happen, just at my own damn pace... self punishment for not thinking this thing through, but I digress...

So as it happened... I'm plowing through files and trying to organize my thoughts... then a little angel perches on my monitor and pointed to a web editing program I'd bought early in iMac Wonderland, back when spirits were high and all things were possible. And LO! hadn't I darned near put the whole thing together already! Geeze, the things I forget! So I fooled around with it for a bit, asked a few newbie questions to the helpful tech people... and usually beat them to the answer 'cuz I'd asked before and had just temporarily forgotten.

So there you have it... I've cleaned up my act... and with only a few more hurdles, I will be home free with this new site. It offers tweaking possibilities for years to come and hopefully, I'll be able to either rework the template or the program will eventually offer something a little less industrial and a little more classically, artfully minimal. Other than that... it seems to work.

Hi KJ,

The new site is nice! Looks very solid and integrated. My left brain likes. Congrats.

Boy, doing that kind of work can be draining huh? But it feels so good when it's done. Like cleaning out your art room then surveying the sense of calm organisation. Satisfying...

I really like this neat look, as well as the menu bar on the top. everything seems in order and well classified. There is a harmonious and consistent feeling both in the art and in the way it is shown.

Funny that I'd done the heavy lifting last fall, sorting through dozens of templates, learned the ropes then got sidetracked with the holidays and other distractions... like trying to sell the new iMac... and since it's a Mac program (Sandvox) I just put it out of my mind... to the point of forgetting all about it. So when I came across the program in my files, the structure of the site was in a nearly complete state. Thanks for the thumbs up, I'm feeling better about it.

checked your website out..clicking links and found your red sky gallery link is bad, you have added the link twice in the hyperlink.

Thanks, Paula... that wasn't the only one! Will be fixed with the next upload.
