Decades

DECADES

On the occasion of my First,
Dreams unfolded in branches of trees
Creation was a private world
Life was blooming...

On the occasion of my Second,
Love and marriage,
Dreams fulfilled...
Life was promising...

On the occasion of my Third,
A war endured, a family growing,
Art discovered,
Life was good...

On the occasion of my Fourth,
Kids become independent,
Art becomes codependent...
Life was full...

On the occasion of my Fifth,
The dreaded threshold to seniority
Passed unnoticed...
Life was art...

On the occasion of my Sixth,
Thought there'd be concern,
But so much to do...
Life still promised...

On the occasion of my Seventh,
The past is found in the future
Art has momentum...
Life is family...
