SNOW In The Heart Of Dixie!!!

View from the front door...

Okay... most of you guys are mumbling... "That's snow?" You bet... and it's been eight years since the last time we had this much icing on our leaves and branches! Kids had a ball while it lasted, which wasn't very long, but it sure was beautiful! Okay... that's quite enough. Let's get on with making way for Spring!

(You might notice that all photos were taken from INSIDE our house... didn't want to mess it up!)

You bet it is snow. We have had two small ones this year and I posted photos each time. Mother nature just has a way with her brush, doesn't she?

These photos, like your art, are magical.

OK, yes I did smirk a little, because we're up to our knees in Wisconsin! But your photos do make me appreciate how beautiful and delicate snow is...we're just a bit jaded about it up north, at least by this time of year.

I fogot to think about your neck of the woods when I heard that south Mississippi got snow the other day. We only had some light sleet/snow but it was melting about as it came down.
It is beautiful.

Having served my time in Kansas and Montana, I can fully appreciate overdoses of the stuff... and enjoy just a little reminder every now and then.

I can see it. I can see why you would call this snow. It does make everything so pretty, doesn't it? Your side deck looks like it's pretty year round.

Your balconies are beautiful. I would love to sit and drink coffee there on a warmer day...

I'm not thrilled with winter in the north where I am, but I love the dusting of snow that you have. It's so fleeting and delicate.

I have to admit, though J did a marvelous job building decks and walkways going down a rough and steep patch of hill, you don't linger there long without a good dose of mosquito repellent in warm weather. But that's my view from the kitchen window and screened porch so I enjoy. But hey! I remember mosquitoes (big ones!) in Montana!
