2008 - Strip Center - 24x72
I know I'll regret this title, but I also know that years from now when I see it on some database, I'll picture it immediately. And that's saying a lot considering some of my confusing title/picture relationships! Lots of layers and subtle markings going on... just doesn't come through digitally, you'll have to take my word for it.

It is a catchy little title!
Wonderful colors and when enlarged I can get a sense of the depth and layers in the piece. Must be great in person.
Last year I tried to use numbers and dates instead of titles. It completely sucks. I have no clue what anyone is talking about when they mention a piece they like. Its names that mean something to me from here on out.

Appreciating the comments... and no, Steven, it's my usual gallery wrapped canvas. I've done the numbering thing with an early Grass Sries numbering up to 50... you're right... sucks! Titles can be evasive though...

Titles often come to me, as though they have been gifted from an outside source. I'm always surprised by it and when it comes to me and I know that there can be no other title. I only ever have one title pop into my head, so I never have to choose. If a titled is not sent to me by the 'title gods', it usually means the painting has not worked. Go figure hey!

Nope, no squeegie involved. Just lots of transparent layers. The black blobs are on rice paper, a variation left over from the bokusho series.
Looks great to me, Karen...err, interesting title. Sometimes titles are the bane of my existence..other times they just pop into mind out of the blue. I love it when they do that.
I'm a software engineer - a prerequisite of this job is the inability to name things well (my children are an exception - oh and my cats) - so I go for the numbering system. I should hit #100 this year - woo hoo.
Ah... you're just bragging! ;-) And a fine series it is!
