Redoing The Grids...


With a clear table (and mind) to work with, I brought a couple of 2007 paintings into the studio and did a rework. I'd long felt these weren't quite finished... the thought not completed. Not sure they could carry even more weight but for now I'm okay with the new look. Maybe next year, should they make themselves available again, I'll have even newer thoughts to add.

I have one that's been documented and photographed as finished a half dozen times... still can't find the end of the thread. Some paintings just tease!

Karen, do you keep the photos of the documented stages? That would be interesting.

The title is, appropriately enough, Shadowboxing! It's definitely fodder for the blog but I really would like to reach some kind of conclusion before showing the various incarnations...
