Too Soon Goodbye...

We'll be heading for NOLA this week. My long time art buddy fought a good fight but couldn't beat the odds... gotta say, she gave it all she had and then some! I'll reminisce later with more pictures and stories. The above photo was taken about twenty years ago... Patti, I'll sure miss you!

I did not know her well, but the few times I was around her, and talked to her at colony, I could tell what a caring, upbeat, giving person she was. And what an Artist!

So sorry Karen for your loss. She looks like she has quite a sparkle in this picture.

Karen,

Patti was a real vibe! I'll miss her a lot, but she's bound to be happier where she is and she'll be able to celebrate the 'birthday boys' birthday with him!

She didn't age, did she?

Love,

Pat

I will Sooooo miss Patti. She was a great studio mate for almost every colony I've been to for ten years. What a good picture of her. I can still picture her, GA and Moe doing those line dances from the first time I went to Colony.

Oh, Karen, I am trying to type this in spite of the tears falling down my face. Thank you for sharing so beautifully about my sister and what she meant to you. This picture is so perfect and I have not seen it before. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.

Patti truly appreciated her friendship with you. She really was touched by your last visit with her and I am pleased I was there. We enjoyed the gift of your presence, the leaves from the Lake house and the wonderful breads and pastries you brought.

I thank my sister for introducing me to you and so many wonderful artists from MS Colony and Dottie's Monotype workshops.

Patti's Spirit lives on in us all! Love, Diane
