What Do I Know...

Vista, 54x46

It sold. The landscape sold. The three requested abstracts were too big for the spot so they've gone back into the gallery's inventory. If the triptych hadn't been requested, I would not have hastened to finish a landscape for them. But they keep asking for them (this wasn't as big as they want,) and they usually sell quickly, though this has to be some kind of record. Is a message being sent? ::Knock-Knock:: Anyone home??? (no brag, I just never cease to be amazed by this business...)

I don't think i've ever seen a landscape by you before. It really is compelling. Congratulations.

I like the landscape. When you figure things out, be sure to let us know. I can't figure it out either!

Landscapes pop up pretty regularly, Meno, but preferably on their own due to some new creative strategy or impulse. Those that are 'requested' always seem lacking somehow.

Johnnie... don't hold your breath for me to figure it out... after 30 plus years, I'm still in the dark. KJ

I like your interpretation of the landscape Karen. It's still "you."
Congrats on the sale.

I like it....but I really like the Black and White pieces.

It seems like my favorite paintings sell last most of the time....weird.

Congrats on the sale.

I think that's the reason I can't really relate to this landscape... too much color. Funny, coming from a semi-career of red paintings ;-) But reducing compositions to minimum use of color is a creative challenge for me... right now. KJ

silly woman - paint some more and fix up the lake house, or better yet, take a trip with some artist friends (wink wink)
