One of a series of three paintings on 300# Rough watercolor paper, gessoed and painted. They were completed before being applied to cradled panel which had be covered with canvas. The canvas was then glazed before adhering the finished paper paintings to it. Problems arose with bubbles, amount of gel to use, should the paper be damp or dry... dry paper offered fewer problems. A brayer was used to roll out excess gel and bubbles but usually the paper had a mind of it's own. Once completely dry, they were coated (canvas as well) with a thick gel to solidify the whole piece.
